Collection: Domaine Georges Glantenay

Domaine Georges Glantenay is a small family estate that has been producing wine in Volnay for over 130 years. Since 2013, it has been run by brother and sister Guillaume and Sarah Glantenay. Vineyards are farmed according to lutte raisonée principles with no use of pesticides and herbicides. The holdings include 8 hectares of vineyards in the villages of Volnay, Pommard, and Chambolle-Musigny.

In the cellar, 90% of the production is red wine where the focus is on the use of destemmed fruit, natural yeasts for fermentation, and pumpovers instead of punchdowns for added flavour and tannin extraction. Maturation in new oak ranges from 20% for village level to 30% for 1er crus. These practices all contribute to make wines that are fruit driven and concentrated with a touch of grippy tannin and the integrated sweet baking spice characters of new oak.
