Collection: Domaine Henri Prudhon
Henri Prudhon is a small estate based in St. Aubin, run by brothers Vincent and Philippe. They produce wine from 14.5 hectares of family plots in Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, and St. Aubin. The Prudhons have been influential in St. Aubin since inception in 1945, with both Henri (Vincent and Philippe’s grandfather), and their father, Gerard, serving multiple terms as the town’s mayor.
The domaine’s style leans towards a fresh and tangy side with lighter macerations and restrained use of new oak barrels (typically 10-30%). The whites are crystalline with chalky minerality and a leesy doughiness on the finish. The holdings include fantastic St. Aubin terroirs such as the Premier Cru ‘La Chatenière’ and ‘Meurgers des Dents de Chien’ as well as ‘Les Chenevottes’ in Chassagne-Montrachet.
