Behind the scenes
When we founded CGU Fine Wines in 2016, our mission was clear: bring wine producers closer to wine drinkers.
We’ve spent ten years doing exactly that, building relationships with the vignerons, and estates we believe in, and sharing their wines with you. But we’ve always known that the most powerful way to experience a wine is to hear its story from the person who made it. To sit across from them, to ask about the vintage, the soil, the decision to pick early or wait one more day. That’s what changes how you taste.
At the Table is the natural next step in that mission. Each event pairs a visiting producer from our portfolio with one of Toronto’s best restaurants for an eveningof food, wine, and conversation. No podium, no lecture — just a great meal,exceptional wine, and the person who made it, right there beside you.
What to expect
Events range from formal multi-course dinners at some of Toronto’s most
celebrated restaurants to relaxed lunches and focused masterclasses. Whatever the
format, the heart of it is the same: you, the winemaker, and wines you won’t taste
anywhere else.
